500 mw / 1 GWH! China's first monomer maximum electrochemical shared energy storage demonstration project started construction. 

Shanxi Jinhai Clean Energy Co., Ltd. started construction of a 500MW/1GWh shared energy storage power station in Yuanping Economic and Technological Development Zone in Xinzhou on Sept 5, in the third "Three batch" activity of 2022 in the provincial development zone. It is reported that after the project is completed in full capacity and put into operation, this project will become the first single largest electrochemical shared energy storage demonstration project in China, with an annual output value of about 300 million yuan. When completed, the project will help solve the problem of power grid security, promote the improvement of regional energy structure, and increase the proportion of clean energy delivery. The project can also effectively improve the absorption capacity of new energy, minimize the occurrence of wind abandoning, light abandoning and other phenomena, and improve the power grid operation capacity, stable power grid safe operation.
